This badge represents the achievement of completing a 9-month program known as the Applied Instructional Design Academy. To earn this badge, participants must first acquire the eLearning Development, Instructional Design, and Storyline badges, along with one or more elective badges. The program involves completing over 80 lessons, receiving comprehensive coaching, and engaging in a series of challenging learning activities. These activities include practice sessions, extensive feedback, multiple revisions, and the execution of simulated client projects.
The initial step involves identifying the learning needs, goals, and constraints of a project. I work closely with project managers and SMEs to develop a project plan. This phase ensures a thorough understanding of the learners and the context in which they will be learning.
On this next phase, I will outline the project by creating a storyboard or design documents. This will ensure that the instructional strategy aligns with the learning objectives and needs identified during the analysis phase.
On this next phase, I will develop course content on Storyline or Rise or create a simple job aid or video. This will ensure to develop prototypes or samples lessons and review the material with SMEs to gather feedback and make necessary adjustments.
In this next phase, ensuring that the materials are effectively utilized. This phase will help gather feedback and address any issues or challenges. This will ensure the training meets its objectives.
In this final stage, I deliver the course content to the SMEs or project manager. This ensures that the instructional design is effective, efficient, and aligned with the learners needs and goals. It provides the necessary feedback to make informed decisions and continuous improvements in the training process.
